Q: What sunscreen should I be using? Is SPF 30 enough for my trip to Hawaii?
A: An SPF 30 is sufficient for everyday wear. Make sure to reapply every two hours to protect your skin from cancer, pigmentation and premature aging. Wearing a good sunscreen is the most important thing you can do for your skin.
That being said, if you're spending long periods of time in the sun SPF 30 isn't going to cut it. Apply an SPF 50 EVERY TWO HOURS and WEAR A HAT.
BONUS BEAUTY: THE MAGIC OF VITAMIN C
Wearing a vitamin c serum every other day under your sunscreen adds a boost of protection from seen and unseen sun damage.
You might know by now that my favorite SPF and vitamin C serum are by Rhonda Allison. I have them in stock so swing by before you spend time in the sun. It will really make a difference!
